Yardenit receives more than half a million tourists and pilgrims annually wishing to experience the tranquillity and beauty of the River Jordan in a spiritual environment. Many pilgrims come here to receive the baptism that has a special meaning for being in the river in which Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist.
