Later completed in 1938, it served as a tribute to revolutionary heroes, housing the remains of several prominent revolutionary figures such as Francisco I. Madero, Venustiano Carranza, Plutarco Elías Calles , Francisco Villa , and Lázaro Cárdenas . Its distinct Art Deco style and towering height dominate the Mexico City skyline.
