The above live HD streaming webcam shows the iconic Mississippi River Headwaters at Itasca State Park, in the U.S. state of Minnesota . The Mississippi River begins here, as seen on this cam feed, and flows 2,552-miles across America to the Gulf of Mexico. From here, the river, which is only 18 feet wide and knee-deep, flows north to Bemidji before turning east through numerous major lakes. Itasca State Park, as shown on our map further down the page, is an iconic destination where you can enjoy nature, wildlife, hiking, boat excursions, canoe, fishing, water ski, and kayak adventures.
