The HD live cam is by South Beach Access 15, at the south end of the island, offering a wonderful sight of South Beach on the Atlantic Ocean and a waterfront area. Bald Head Island, east of the Cape Fear River, has approximately 10,000 acres of beach and forest preserves, an excellent destination for a quiet holiday in nature. On the island you will also find the Bald Head Lighthouse, the oldest standing lighthouse in North Carolina, known as Old Baldy, circa 1817.
